GCSE Maths small groups

Small group GCSE Maths tuition

A weekly live class of three to five students, led by a qualified teacher. More affordable than one-to-one, and small enough that every student is seen and heard.

Qualified UK teachers (QTS / QTLS) · Enhanced DBS checked

An online small-group GCSE Maths lesson with a teacher and four students on screen

Three to five students

Small enough for the teacher to check every student’s working, large enough to learn from how others think.

Grouped by level

Groups are matched by tier and target grade, so the pace suits everyone in the room.

Move to one-to-one any time

Some students start in a group and switch to one-to-one before exams. You can change as needs change.

Common questions

How many students are in a group?

Between three and five. We keep groups small so the teacher can check every student’s understanding during the lesson.

Will my child still get individual help?

Yes. The teacher gives each student feedback on their own work and adjusts for individual gaps. Students also learn a lot from hearing how others solve problems.

Can we switch to one-to-one later?

Yes. Many families start in a group and move to one-to-one, or the other way round. Just let us know.

Who are your tutors?

Qualified UK teachers (QTS or QTLS) with Enhanced DBS checks and classroom experience. Some also mark GCSE exams for the exam boards. We do not use student tutors.

What do we need for online lessons?

A laptop or tablet and a reliable internet connection. Lessons run in our own virtual classroom, reached through the Learning Portal in a web browser, so there are no Zoom links or downloads.

How do we get started?

Book a free online consultation. Before it, your child does a diagnostic test at home, so we can talk through the results and agree a plan. There is no obligation to continue.

See where your child really stands.

Tell us about your child and we will take it from there: a diagnostic test at home, then a conversation about the plan.
